 11@4Donated to a Dallas non-profit's silent auction. I was fortunate to be featured in a human interest story on Dallas' Channel 11, the local CBS affiliate. The reporter called at 11am-ish wanting to meet me at my home at noon. Needless to say there was a quick drive home (I may or may not have broken a few traffic "guidelines"), a lot of stashing of stuff and a brief glance in the mirror.  For SewellDONATED TO THE ART STATION FUNDRAISER FOR 2014 - A new friend of mine, who has been very encouraging of my work, suggested I make a video of my process, because he was curious of how I did it. So, I am in the process of editing the video that I made of the making of this piece. The video will be titled How I Did It (for all you Young Frankenstein fans). |  GreenThis piece was built around the deep, rich tones of red and gold. After "living" with it for awhile, I decided it needed a splash of an unexpected, bright color. Enter Light Green Permanent. That added just the right amount of opposition that caused my mother to fall for it. The piece now hangs in my parents home. |  A Day With a VoiceBased on the U2 rock anthem Beautiful Day.  Perfect Expanded - SOLDThis piece was commissioned to replicate the colors of another piece entitled "Perfect" which had the dimensions of the Perfect Rectangle. The "Expanded" was added to the title because the buyer wanted the final product to be 48" x 48" which is not the ratio of width and height of the perfect rectangle. This and "Gold Addition" now hang in a bed and breakfast in North Central Texas. |  Perfect - SOLDThe dimensions of this piece are based on the Perfect Rectangle and was purchased by an old-time friend/college roommate and hangs in his home in North Central Texas on a buttery, deeply detailed wall. |  Gold Addition - SOLDAnother piece from my "rich tones" period with a patch of metallic gold added for the sharpness and shimmer it carries with it.
